AT THE HEART OF OUR BUSINESS, IS OUR FAMILY
D. J. Hussey Farm has been owned and operated by the Hussey family since 1926. What started as a small farm raising beef cattle and selling hay feed has adapted over the many years. You may remember picking pumpkins or strawberries, or even buying our premium hay!
Today we are a Pick-your-own seasonal farm stand, specializing in Christmas Trees.
We also offer excavation, tree service, snow plowing/sanding and premium cordwood!

We DO NOT allow dogs at the farm. This policy was put in effect after 2019 season due to unfortunate safety and hygienic circumstances.
We are excited to Welcome the 2023 Tree Season!
We are grateful for your support during these challenging times.
Customers will not be permitted to CUT their own tree during the season, instead we have helpers in the field with motorized saws to quickly tag and chop down trees for you. This has to do with not only the safety of our customers, but to preserve the integrity of our fields.
We DO NOT allow dogs at the farm. This policy was put in effect after 2019 season due to unfortunate safety and hygienic circumstances.
Christmas Tree Season will be just like last year, with 2 options:

“Tagging” Season: WEEKENDS (Sat and Sun) starting September 30th, last day November 12th - no appointment needed! This is a socially distanced option for first pick of your tree, prior to pick your own season. Come to the grey barn, check in and pick out a tree & pay. Your choice will be tagged and marked with a unique number (don't lose your tag!) You tell us when to cut it, which will be any day during our PYO season. You will visit us to pick up your tree during the PYO season, during regular business hours (9am to 3pm) at the grey barn

“Pick-Your-Own” Season: WEEKENDS (Sat and Sun) starting November 18th - This is the traditional 'choose and cut' season. The Christmas Shop will be open. Seasonal products, greens, and textiles for sale on the first floor and outside. Pre-ordering of wreaths and greens is available by calling the farm or visiting us and filling out a form.

Lovely scenic walking trail to the field, enjoy the fresh air and natural surroundings. The Cut Your Own field is just down the road from the check-in barn.
Our friendly staff will cut your tree, deliver it to the barn for shaking & baling and measuring. Make a memory with your family that will last a lifetime!
Pick Your Own Christmas Tree
We have several species available of premium Christmas Trees including Balsam Fir, Fraiser Fir, Concolor Fir, Blue Spruce, White Spruce and Norway Spruce.
We have a range of sizes available from 0-13 ft.
No Appointments for Cut Your Own.
There is no appointment needed for pre-cut trees or for our Pre-Tagging Season in October!
